# Open Offers

> Give any shopper a code after they log in, with no verification step.

An **open offer** is a campaign that any shopper can claim regardless of their verification status. The shopper logs in, optionally shares their details via data capture, and receives their code straight away.

Use open offers wherever you would otherwise publish a plain discount code. The login gate ensures that every code is issued to a valid shopper, helping reduce the risk of codes leaking onto voucher sites. You can apply further [reward guardrails](https://docs.gocertify.me/section/buildRewardFlows/rewardGuardrails.md) if needed.

## When to use an open offer

* **Newsletter and welcome offers.** Give new subscribers a unique code in exchange for their email.
* **Account and app sign-up rewards.** Reward shoppers for creating an account or installing your app.
* **Click-through codes.** Link to the campaign from an email, a partner site or a social post and let each shopper collect their own code.

## How to Set up an open offer

**1. Create a campaign**

In your dashboard go to Rewards, Campaigns, then **Create campaign**.

**2. Choose Code generator as the group**

The Group dropdown lists every audience you can gate a campaign to. Choose **Code generator**, which is the open offer option.

Choosing Code generator in the Group dropdown creates an open offer.

**3. Attach an offer and decide on DataCapture**

[Choose the reward](https://docs.gocertify.me/section/buildRewardFlows/chooseReward.md) as you would for any campaign. Turn on DataCapture in the campaign settings if you want to collect details before the code is shown.

> [!TIP]
>
> Everything else about the campaign is the same as a verified one. You can customise the copy and styling, promote it with on-site placements and track it through your tracking link.
